Four research workshops (five days each) are planned, one every six months. Researchers and PhD students from project member institutions and selected external parties will participate. Each workshop will have a different theme. Topics that will be covered at workshops include hands-on development (for example Mote programming, Mobile sensor API and J2ME development for sensors), RFID, WSN based applications: requirements and experiences from the field, IMS and WSN etc. The first workshop was held during March 10-14, 2008 in Dublin. The second workshop was held during September 27 to October 1, 2008 in Greece. The third workshop was held during March 31 to April 4, 2009 in Belgrade. The fourth workshop was held during August 28 - September 1, 2009, in Ohrid. Prosense WSN and SME workshop: Wireless sensor networks (WSN) and small medium enterprises (SME). WSN-SME workshop was an open public forum, organized by the FP7 ProSense project, in May 2010, as a joint event with regional industry and local governmental organizations. Its aim is to facilitate and accelerate the development and use of relevant solutions and applications in the area of wireless sensor networks (WSN). The event was hosted by the Technological Park Ljubljana (TPLj), a centre of innovations and incubations that supports the creation and growth of new enterprises based on reserch and development R@D results, and Institut "Jozef Stefan", member of the ProSense consortium. "WSN opportunities", "WSN ideas" and "WSN success stories" were presented and exhibited at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia on May 20, 2010. All interested developers and researchers, either individuals or members of spin-off, regional or international SME companies, were invited to contribute and to share common experience and ideas from the WSN area. More information (including the videolecture, can be found at: http://videolectures.net/wsnsme2010_ljubljana/. The first ProSense Research Seminar was held together with the PhD-NOW Workshop at the AdHOC-NOW Conference in Nice in September 2008. The second ProSense Research Seminar was held in Ljubljana, December 18-21, 2008. It aimed at an interchange of research and application experiences and ideas in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). The PROSENSE partners from the West Balkans, primarily Serbia and FYROM with guest participation from Croatia and Hungary, and from the convergence region, Slovenia, attracted 31 participants from these regions, with most of them having presentations of the status of their current WSN related work inspired by the PROSENSE project. The presentations have been collected in the Seminar Proceedings . The third ProSense Research Seminar was held in Ljubljana, November 17-19, 2009. The seminar proceedings can be found here .
